Mystery Rug
Mystery Rug was designed by the Carpet Studio team for an interior dominated by clean geometric lines. The living room features a striking composition: a multi-level glass coffee table with rectangular bases, a parquet floor with a linear pattern, and a wall with brick-like texture. The task was to create a rug that would seamlessly integrate all these elements and become the centerpiece of the interior.
Why is it called “Mystery”?
The name Mystery Rug was chosen for a reason. At first glance, the rug appears simple and minimalistic. But as you look closer, you discover its secret: a combination of loop pile (bouclé) and cut pile at different heights creates a 3D relief surface that changes depending on the angle of view and the lighting. This hidden depth and transformation make the rug a true mystery in the interior.
Design and craftsmanship
The design of the Mystery Rug is based on two main techniques. The first part consists of uncut loop pile (bouclé) in a deep burgundy-brown color, echoing the inner spaces of the coffee table bases. The second part is created with cut pile (V-tuft) of different heights in a calm beige-yellow tone. This combination produces a textured and sculptural effect without adding extra colors, keeping the interior balanced and refined.
Our skilled craftsmen accomplished a challenging task: every detail of the pile height and geometry was carefully adjusted to achieve perfect proportions. This precision and attention to detail are what distinguish the handmade rugs produced by Carpet Studio.
