Sculptural Art Nouveau Carpet

The Sculptural Art Nouveau Carpet is Ready!
In February 2019, our craftsmen created a carpet in the Art Nouveau style. What makes it special is its two-level design with a pile height of 12 mm and 18 mm, creating a sculptural effect. Some elements are slightly raised—just 6 mm—while others are lower, which gives the carpet a unique and eye-catching appearance. Light coming through the window casts shadows, and the material itself plays with the light. It feels like this carpet is a work of art.

With its flowing lines, it complements the interior and matches the colors of the sofa, parquet, wallpaper, and curtains—because all the shades were carefully selected by our specialists to harmonize with the room’s design. The colors of Art Nouveau are soft, natural, and pastel, creating a cozy and calm atmosphere.

Let’s take a moment to recall the main features of the Art Nouveau style. Patterns usually include stylized plant and flower motifs. The style also often features birds, insects, and fish. Art Nouveau women are either spiritually delicate or gracefully full-figured, with endlessly flowing waves of hair—a true signature of the style.

All of this is present in our carpet—majestic peacocks, flowering bushes… Everything is woven into a single, continuous composition. Female figures look at us, while elegant architectural elements charm with their flowing shapes.

The world of Art Nouveau is deeply artisanal—its rich decoration and smooth, flowing lines require the skilled hands of true craftsmen. Every item carries the author’s personal touch. That’s why even an object moved from one Art Nouveau space to another can feel out of place, even if the style is the same. These interiors are like puzzle pictures—remove one part and the whole feels incomplete. Replacements are unacceptable.

That’s why the only right decision for this interior was to create a completely exclusive carpet.

And we’ve done it! You can now see photos of the process, showing how the carpet was tufted and trimmed. This large-scale, detailed, and complex project is now finished—and it graces the interior and pleases the eye.
