The dining area rug “Exclusive” is a great example of how a unique interior piece can be created entirely remotely. Neither I nor my designers met the client in person – the entire process took place online. Our first contact happened when the customer discovered our kover-st.com website and called with a request to produce a rug based on one of our existing designs, but in a custom color palette.
Remote collaboration with a personal approach
We shipped yarn samples to the client, agreed on the rug’s size and proportions, and moved forward with production. Just one month later, the finished dining area rug was delivered. Upon receiving it, the client sent us photos of the rug in the interior and said: “I will throw away all my old rugs and order all new ones from you!” – this was the best feedback we could receive.
Design tailored to the space
The main task was not only to create a rug of the right size but also to ensure that it matched other elements in the same room – such as the bar counter rug. The custom dining rug became an integral part of the kitchen-studio zoning, separating the dining area from the lounge while maintaining a cohesive style.
Ergonomic details for a dining space
One important feature: when chairs are pulled back from the table, all chair legs remain on the rug. This is not only comfortable but also protects the floor from scratches. Our rug under the dining table is specifically designed with this principle in mind.
Color palette and textured shearing
Since the room has plenty of natural light, we applied a special textured artistic shearing. This technique creates a three-dimensional effect through the play of light and shadows, giving the rug an elegant and expressive look. In the close-up photo, you can clearly see how the pattern comes alive in daylight.
Premium materials and quality craftsmanship
This designer dining rug is made of eco-friendly, premium-quality natural wool. The pile height is 12 mm, providing both comfort underfoot and long-lasting durability. We can produce a similar rug in any color palette and size to perfectly fit your space.
